Our Oklahoma City CBD Is Better than THC and Always Legal
CBD, A Superior Product
CBD stands for cannabidiol, and it is one of the dozens of compounds found in cannabis (marijuana). It is often made into an oil that can be applied directly to the part of the body affecting the patient (aching joints, the stomach area). It can also be inhaled for a light full body effect, such as decreasing nervousness or easing sleeplessness. The other popular derivative compound of marijuana commonly used for therapeutic treatments of pain is THC. THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol and it is a different compound of the hemp plant that people make into oil to treat pain, nausea relief, medical anorexia, anxiety and many more ailments. The human body has special receptors in the brain, the gut, and throughout its entirety, called endocannabinoid receptors. These help regulate our mood, appetite, memory, and the sensation of pain. People with chronic pain, mood disorders, diseases causing loss of appetite and vomiting all have bodies that are taxed from inflammation and flooded with stress hormones. It is very difficult to solve such systemic problems with a simple pain relief tablet. But when they apply or ingest a cannabinoid substance, these molecules in the substance bind to the endocannabinoid receptors in their bodies, easing pain, anxiety, nausea and so on.
CBD is Far Superior to THC
Both CBD and THC help people by activating the pain relieving, appetite-regulating, and homeostasis producing receptors in our own bodies. THC, however, is psychoactive, which means that it does put its user “under the influence” by altering his/her mind, slowing response times and producing many of the same effects that recreational ingestion of the marijuana plant (or the smoking thereof) produces: laughter, paranoia, euphoria, bloodshot eyes, etc. For this reason, THC is legal only in certain states, and even then–only for medicinal use. CBD, however, is legal in all 50 states. On a practical note, if you want the positive health effects of a cannabis-derived substance during the day when you must work, take care of children, drive and do other activities that absolutely require alertness, CBD is the clear answer.
How does one determine the proper CBD dosage when it doesn’t come on a prescription sheet like many medicines in the allopathic medical world? Sure, many retailers of CBD products have a recommended amounts (like a dropperful or number of capsules), but this is really just a starting point. The best bet is to assess your particular situation. Are you a tiny lady or a large, tall man? How sensitive are you to other, more traditional medications? How severe is your pain? Start small and move incrementally up in the amount taken, noting effects with each small increase. There is no need to take more than is necessary to stabilize your body and produce holistic health. Note that different brands of CBD have various levels of potency, because a superior product will yield better results with less oil. If purchasing our CBD oil, do not expect it to perform the same way that an oil from another source did. You will have to play around to find the right dose for you.
